What We Are Working On Now

Between both me and Gina we have a lot of wool on the needles and hooks at the moment. Aside from planning future boxes, making up samples and working on pattern development we also have a lot of personal projects on the go too. We wanted to share some of what we are working on each month. I suffer from Ravelry-itis. My project queue grows out of hand and I simply want to knit EVERYTHING. I have promised myself not to buy any more books until I do at least one project from each of the books I already own....

It’s that time of year again, although in my opinion it’s still too soon. I guess you could say I’m a bit of a Bah Humbug with everyone (it seems that way) counting down the days to Christmas. Why you should swatch every project. Even scarves.

Do you find swatching a right royal pain? You’ve got your hank all rolled up into a cake, needles at the ready and you are itching to get cast on but first you have to figure out your gauge and swatch. We all know swatching is important but sometimes it can seem a little surplus to requirements when making something without much shape, like a scarf, right? The moment I started swatching for every single project was the moment my knitting vastly improved. It was a marked difference in the finished piece as well. But swatching for everything?
